my heart for photography...

Did anyone ever ask you growing up, if your house was on fire and you could only grab three things, what would they be? My first one was always our large collection of family photo albums. Throughout my entire childhood one of my favorite activities was sitting down and flipping through all of the little moments captured in our photo albums. Moments that captured every step of the relationship developed between me and my brothers, moments that captured versions of my parents from a life before mine, moments that captured our family's story.

Whether I am being hired for a newborn session, engagement photos, a birthday party, or wedding, it is my privilege and honor to be the one behind the camera capturing your story. Regardless of the occasion, my goal as your photographer is to capture photos that are intimate, personal, and timeless.

Hi! My name is Emma and I am a 26 year-old portrait photographer based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Growing up, being a full-time photographer was never my plan a, b, or c. This is mostly due to my enneagram 7 inclination to have a million+ interests that lead me to spend the past ten years debating whether I should be an interior designer, open my own pizza shop (believe it or not this was actually my most consistent career aspiration throughout high school), be a music supervisor, be a sports commentator, be a teacher, and so on.

I began playing around with photography in 2019 when I started working with The Technician, a student-run newspaper, at NC State. To my surprise, over the years God has grown what was initially just a fun hobby into my dream career. There is nothing I love more than being able to come alongside people to celebrate their milestone moments and capture part of their story!
